the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2010 has commended Footprint “for the ways it is promoting sustainability, both through its film production and through wider company operations.”

the panel said our major strength came from “checking all resources and suppliers for sustainable, ethical and responsible policies.”

Footprint’s travel policy, our commitment to measuring & managing waste & emissions, working to the Code of Best Practice in Sustainable Filmmaking & promoting the benefits of sustainability to the public were all praised in this year’s Queen’s Awards.

Scott Jones, Footprint’s founder & creative director, said: “we’re delighted to receive this commendation from the Queen’s Award. it makes all the effort worthwhile. we know our clients really value our approach to sustainable production & now we’ve got this wider recognition. our next step is to collect a lot more data on our operations, to try to win a full Queen’s Award in the next year or two & we aim to encourage a lot more companies & brands to switch to sustainable production. any company or brand with a green, sustainable, ethical story to tell now has no excuse for using a old school production company.”
